Been a while since I blogged. Now have re-emerged from pitch and D&AD/Clio judging madness.
I met Brian Eno in 1997 at the RCA for a one on one tutorial. After that life changing chat I went and bought this book. 10 years on I dug it out for some work related stuff and – BANG. My unhealthy obsession with all things Brian Eno has been re-fuelled. Read this book. It’s amazing. It contains the best definition of interactive I have ever seen (written in 1996!). He argues that “Interactive” is better summed up as “Unfinished”. “The idea is quite clear: here is an object of culture which you must finish to be able to use it.” The book also features the marvelous Mr Waterfall.
