My London

We are finally moving out of London. After 10 years it’s going to be a bit of a shock to the system. On my way to work I picked up this week’s Time Out featuring the 101 things to do before you leave London. They are all a bit rubbish. Here is my list. In no particular order:

1. Buy a record from Honest Johns on Portobello Road
2. See a band at Brixton Academy
3. Get pampered at Porcester Spa
4. Hang out at Rough Trade in Covent Garden
5. Go to Mister CD in Soho for cheap CDs
6. Have a pint at the Endurance in Berwick Street then…
7. …have fish and chips opposite
8. Buy a book at Soho’s Original Bookshop (upstais and downstairs)
9. Go to the carboot sale on Holloway Road on a Sunday
10. See a gig at the Jazz Cafe
11. Have a beer at Proud Galleries in Camden
12. Paint a jug in Camden Market
13. Have a pint at the Landsdowne sitting on the pavement
14. Fly on the London Eye
15. See the pickled squids’n things in the Natural History Museum
16. Have a Sunday Roast in the Toll Gate Cafe on Archway roundabout
17. See an exhibition in the Serpentine
18. Buy books in Walter KΓΆnig bookshop in the Tate Modern
19. Do the welfare route around London Zoo
20. Cycle along and into the Regents Canal
21. Walk from Hampstead to Kenwood House
22. See the Rembrandt in Kenwood House
23. Buy something from Music Exchange
24. Go for a pint to the RCA Art Bar
25. Have a kebap from Marathon
26. Have a jellied eel and Dr Pepper at Chapel Street Market

  1. Good luck on your list.
I’m looking forward to moving out of London too.

I guess the daily work thing will mean that there’s plenty of opportunities to tick off any items on the list that you miss before you go πŸ˜‰
